What a credit is
A chat for a patient is one credit. A letter, if you write one, is one more. A reading list — pages from your own patient information, sent without the chat — is free, on every plan. That is the whole meter: no per-site charge, no charge for the front desk, a practice manager or a hygienist, and logins are unlimited on every plan; Solo covers one dentist. Reissuing a link, or producing a letter again, is free.

If you go past your allowance
Nothing stops. Extra credits are billed after the month at a per-credit rate confirmed with your invitation. A busier month is a change of plan, not a top-up: moving up takes effect at once, for the rest of the month at the difference; moving down takes effect at the next cycle. The size names say nothing about your practice; the line under each is the guide.
Founding rate
Practices that join during early access pay a founding rate. Ask about it when you ask for early access.
One thing that never changes
A patient never loses their plan. If a practice's billing lapses, its patients keep the page they were given — the plan, the tooth chart, the note in your words and the reading you picked — for as long as the link was set to last. Asking new questions is what needs an active plan, because every question is answered by a service that charges for it. Nobody is cut off from what their dentist told them.

- What happens when the trial ends?
- Your practice moves to Free: two credits a month with Chairside’s branding, for as long as you like. Your patients’ existing links keep working throughout.
- What is a credit?
- A link for a patient is one credit. A letter, if you write one for that patient, is one more. Nothing else is counted: there are no seats, no charge per site, and no charge for practice managers, the front desk or anyone else who signs in. Reissuing a link, or producing a letter again, is free.
- Can I pay yearly?
- Yes. Both plans are cheaper paid yearly, and the Additional site option is only available on yearly plans.
- Do I need a card to start?
- No. The trial runs without one.
- What if I stop paying?
- Your patients keep the pages they were given: the plan, the note in your words, and the reading you picked, for as long as those links were set to last. Making new links needs an active plan, and so does asking new questions — every question costs money to answer. Nothing a patient was already given disappears.
- Is there a limit on how many plans I can make?
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance that covers ordinary practice use. If a practice goes past it, extra plans are charged one by one rather than forcing a jump to a bigger plan. The allowance and the rate are confirmed with your invitation. Nothing stops working and no patient loses a link.
